The icon means that the recording will always be in landscape mode, regardless of the screen's orientation.  In the settings, you can find three options: landscape, portrait, and auto. Please check it out.

When the shooting orientation is set to Landscape, this icon will displayed on the screen. If you set the shooting orientation to Portrait, the icon will also show in Portrait. Lastly, if the shooting orientation is set to "Auto-Rotation", the icon will not be displayed.
