Must be bitterly cold working on that roof - great shot

Today was the first day with wind gust under 65km in a week and it was still cold. I wouldn't want to be working on that roof.

Nice shot. It's really taking shape now.

It's fun watching it come together. I spoke with the Superintendent today. He expects it to be finished by  April. I am shooting every other Tuesday until then. Looking forward to it.

Is it known, who the occupants will be?  It looks quite like a new JCB Agents building style not too far from here.

Good to see the snow isn't stopping the work going on,     we usually grind to a halt here for the smallest amount of snow.

You're very welcome.  Wow, April is not far off but I have no doubt they'll meet the deadline, especially with the progress they've made already.

It is interesting that some of the construction companies here give b0nuses to their employees for finishing projects ahead of schedule.  I think that motivates employees but might encourage them to cut corners in order to finish early.  I guess it all boils down to QC by the Project Manager.

Somewhere there is a good balance. They probably have b0nuses fr time and deductions for inspection failures.

Ahh, yes the old checks and balances getting put into use should minimize risky short cuts.

In this area you see a lot of non-english speaking roofing crews with only the Supervisor speaking broken English.  However, I've watched them work before and they give it 100% effort from start to finish.  They always get rave reviews and I bet you don't need to QC their work very closely if at all.  I can't say the same about some framing crews that I was watching, sloppy, very sloppy work and always taking a break somewhere around the 30 minute mark.  Different work ethic altogether.

I feel like roofing is more of a specialty.  Everyone starts out framing.
