Ive just been repairing an old table at the MIL.  Just trying to source some old imperial brass screws to make a better repair.

Yeah, that looks great on those old pieces of furniture.
I still have some laying around for 'just in case'.

As is typical we have loads just not the right size,  these are 8 x 1/4"   Really short and fat.

And they are hard to get these days. Especially the flatheads.
The other day I was at a hardware store and they were laughing at me when I asked for a specific type.
But then an old guy came walking from the warehouse and looked at the screw, walking to the attic to get an old box of very old stock that he held there for just in case.
Saved my day.

We have a couple of eBay shops that have a really good range,   but they are not cheap.

These do look exactly like the ones I got for my 1934 restored window. .

Mother Nature did an exquisitely crafted job on that sunset and provide nice colors also.  Great capture DA.

I did find the ones needed in the end Nr 8 by 1/2" And odd size for sure,  usually Id but a lot of extras but Im not seeing much future use for this size.

Thanks DT,   I flew the Avata this morning for sunrise and I just found out that there's no video on the SD card.       Now where's my hammer.

Yes. And I usually add some to my stock for next time but in this case I'll just get 10 and use 3.

That happens to me 50/50 but Im happy to have some stock I just need to choose wiser sometimes.
