Hello everyone!

So, recently I switched from air 2 to air 2s

Air 2 with no GPS was incredibly stable at daylight on almost any height, 100-150m if there was textured ground under, even in the strong winds

Air 2s, on the other hand, cant keep its position at bright day light starting from redicolous 5 meters

So the question is, is my 2s broken? Or did dji mess up with its lower sensors

Is an Air2S characteristic...Unfortunately....I have sold it because when was starting to advance in straight line, was also starting to go higher by itself (at 7-10 m from ground, without any obstacle)....

But the camera is nice.

So you just sold your faulty drone to someone else, strange thing to do to someone.

Some people have no issue with this behavior, we had.
Any other questions that stops you from sleeping?

This is not what Im talking about, mine flies straight as it should, I want to know about issues of others when there is no GPS signal, thank you

On Air2s if you have no GPS then the craft will go into Atti Mode will hold its altitude but fly erratically, if your in line of sight Id recommend landing , if you’ve flown atti mode before and are proficient then you’ll be ok . There have been improvements to newer dji craft but Air2s is on older tech.

I’m sure flying that drone is a direct breach EASA rules for flying drones, but I suppose you need to be awake to know that.

Thanks for your suggestion lol we have no GPS here in saint petersburg russia for 5 years. With air 2 it was not a problem at all, only in darkness when lower sensors can't work properly

Air 2 was perfect with holding its position using lower sensors without GPS signal, Ive managed to get sharp photos even when wind was 10-12m/s... Like on attached picture

No erratical flying at all, ZERO, as I mentioned in my first message

Air 2s is almost the same model but doesn't hold its position at all. So I wonder if only mine is broken somehow, or dji made it worse

You need to learn some more EASA rules.

I know the rules and flying with faulty drones is a complete Nono and 100% the responsibility of the pilot. Given what you tried ti imply in an earlier post you obviously haven’t a clue of the regulations.

I didn’t admit anything and I keep all my drones in perfect flying condition, unlike you who has more problems than most agony Aunts . If you have issues with your drone your simply ship it to DJI they’ll sort it. Don’t try flofgging on to unsuspected buyers thats fraud.

You are fooling yourself.
The range of the downward sensors is much, much less than this for any and all DJI drones.
If the drone is 50 metres up and without GPS, it cannot hold horizontal position and will drift with any wind.

The rule says that a drone without classification with the mass between 250 g and 25 kg can fly in A3 = OPEN.

Read again, sucker.

The rule says that the operator is responsible for the condition of the craft he’s flying. How dumb are you..
