Hello Aspendas. Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, DJI Mic Mini is compatible with DJI Osmo Pocket. Kindly refer to the steps below for connecting both of this device.

1. Use the Osmo Pocket 3.5mm adapter to connect the Type-C port at the bottom of Osmo Pocket.

2. Then use the 3.5mm camera cable to connect Osmo Pocket 3.5mm adapter with DJI Mic receiver.

Kindly note that, Only Mono recording mode is supported, and there is no plan to support safty channel and stereo mode. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for choosing DJI.

I tried to put the receiver directly on the bottom of OP1. It does not work. The only way for OP1 to receive external audio is through a 3.5mm to USB-C audio adapter. It has to be made specifically for OP1 as the 3.5mm input is analog signal and USB-C sends a digital signal to the bottom port of OP1. There is a special chip in these adapters that makes the OP1 recognize the external mic or receiver. You may try the DJI official adapter which is guaranteed to work but with a hefty price and availability issue. Depending on where you are, BOYA, MOVO and Saramonic all make their version of the adapter which will work with OP1. I got a BOYA BY-K6 adapter easily available in my region and it works perfectly. They are quite a bit more expensive than the cheap 3.5mm USB-C adapters made for android phones which will NOT work on the OP1.

Hi there,
thank you for reaching out.

The methods listed above are the only ways to connect the DJI Mic Mini with the Osmo Pocket through Type-C port.

Feel free to contact us should you have any questions!
