Well, the Osmo handheld camera is about by the looks of things, and there isnt even an area on the forum yet for discussion, but i like the look of it a lot! And for £550 it's not as expensive as I thought it would be. Does anyone know when it will be available in the UK? What is peoples thoughts on it, anyone tried one?

I bit the bullet and ordered one today.  Cant wait to receive it.  Dji says it will ship in 5-7 days so I will keep my fingers crossed that they ship it quickly.  

I am so so so tempted. Already got a Phantom 3. Going to South Africa in 3 weeks time so would be a good compliment to the Phantom for ground shots etc.

One question... it appears to have the same camera as the Inspire 1 so it would be good to be able to buy the Inspire 1 or the Osmo without the camera and just swap it over .. or am I missing something?

Also ordered today. Hope it's as awesome as it looks.

Was planning to order now also- extra batter is not available, can't find any info how long the battery will last though.

You can swap cameras, the OSMO uses the same Zenmuse x3 gimbal that the Inspire uses, you can even use OSMO with the new Inspire Pro cameras

According to this CNet review http://www.cnet.com/products/dji-osmo/.  The battery last about 60mins recording and 6hours standby.

Not yet apparently, I tried to find a way to option the Osmo with the X5 camera and it could not be selected.

The Inspire X3 camera can be used on the Osmo with a firmware upgrade. The Osmo camera cannot be used on the Inspire.

You are correct.

Why?  Just got mine today.  Cool  BUT, disappointing batt life and awful audio.  Going to try an ext mic and see how that works
