It is my understanding that the builtin microphone on the OSMO is less then desirable quality.  Has anyone been able to successfully connect a wireless Microphone to the external port?  It would require a transmitter and receiver.  I have such a device but it would require a hotshoe and not sure this device could accomidate a hotshoe.  Was wondering if anyone has come out with a different device that could work.

So this is something I use on my camcorder and you can also have a wireless remote microphone.  My subject has been at least 50' from this unit with a remote microphone.  This would be a nice option to be added to the OSMO.  I'm just wondering if there is a way to physically connect a hotshoe to the OSMO or if there is another product that would work better.

So I see DJI offers this accessory that would add a Hotshot to the OSMO.  Does anyone know how/where this accessory attaches to the OSMO?

It sounds like if I wanted to connect my Senheiser microphone and my iPhone to the OSMO at the same time I would need to use this accessory?

Looks like your correct on both accounts the hotshoe mount replaces the phone mount so its kinda one or the other. That microphone will work as it is powered which is what the Cosmo requires

you need the extension bar.
the plate screws into one side of the extension bar and the smart phone holder into the other side

Does this camcorder has internal battery?
Seems the hot shoe on the extension bar cannot supply power.
