wouldent it be nice when you turn on your phantom, instead of the "doo doo daa" it plays something like the overture of 1842, or flight of the bumble bee

First, it's the 1812 Overture, not 1842 and secondly, we don't need no stinking music.

All I want is good solid firmware for the craft and software that allows me to monitor the overall condition of the unit and it's location.

well considering they already have both your point is moot, give us startup chip tunes danggit

start up tune is like the most annoying sound they could get this thing to make, a nice apple startup would be nice, or a whirring sound, or a .... anything else

The sounds are actually your four Electronic Speed Controllers (ESC) reporting! Thus, four chirps....

You are in the secluded place to set up you DJI not to attract attention to yourself at least until its in the air, and THIS THING happens. Oh my most annoying , rude and loud startup sound ever. Please DJI do something with it, at least mute it like 90%

Yes , the startup tone were far too loud and noise for me too, wish I could mute it..

I like the sound, it makes others around us, aware that something big is about to happen. ;-)

& Up from the ashes, thee Phoenix Phantom arose. . .  Hehe

I think it should have a chirp noise anytime it loses signal from the remote control, until the battery goes dead. You would have a chance to find it in dense areas.

One simple beep, not a square wave, something smooth and short.

I agree with "Nothing at all".  ONLY make noise if there is a problem.

Or at LEAST have the ability to toggle it on/off

While we're at it maybe we could get celebrity voices for the controller like some car GPS devices.  "The Simpsons" version should come standard until you've gotten a few hours of flight time because there would be a lot of noobs getting the "D'OH!" response.

Exactly my issue with it.  It attracts humans.

Maybe DJI can coordinate with iTunes so owners can select a start-up tune.   Now what about the announcements?  "ATTI Mode"  "Takeoff"  I think you should have a choice of male or female voice.  Also, when crashing there should be an announcement, "You are crashing stupid."  Once your DJI is destroyed your monitor should automatically switch to DJI.com so you can order a new DJI.

Also, once terrain avoidance is offered your DJI will announce "Pull-Up, Pull Up!"  Don't forget wind shear and overspeed warnings.
