The Neo is my third DJI drone. I was very excited to experience FPV when combined with the motion controller 3 and Goggles N3. The first few flights were outstanding and uneventful.

Yesterday, in a rural area, in good weather, albeit 35F, early afternoon with clear skies, I accended the Neo to about 130 feet and got a message of no satellites,  yet the satellite icon showed 15. The Neo started moving without control inputs.  I tried the hold botton, return to home, but nothing seemed to work. I had lost complete control. It was hard to make out what was going on through the goggles as the Neo was moving fast and changing directions.  It finally hit a tree a crashed onto my neighbor's shed, fortunately landing right-side-up. I was able to start it back up and fly home, but now I don't trust it.

I would like to return it and hope that the Goggles N3 will soon support the Mini 4, something that I trust.

Yes, l'm on the latest firmware.

Again, i have perfect weather and a day off from work, but now I'm afraid to fly for fear that I may lose my Neo this time if it flys away again.

So, send it back after only owning it since Christmas? I have only flown it maybe 5 or 6 times and this flyaway was the first crash.

Is this return covered under warranty or at my expense?

Hi there, The repair fees are determined based on your device's inspection results. If a non-user-caused performance failure occurs within the warranty period, the repair or replacement will be free, depending on the circumstances. For repairs outside the warranty period, DJI will issue a quotation after inspection.

Thank you for your understanding.

If Neo Flyaway because DJI created bad product and I have the Refresh care, will they ask me to pay Flyaway 89EUR Fees? If yes, I am returning this product. Btw. they should fix this, if not FW? HW? They should replace all our Neo drones for free. Now I am scared to use it...what is THIS?

After impact detection, Neo has a negative altitude and this is a problem because the drone goes crazy.
This can be fixed by reseting altitude to zero after "Impact detected" I believe.

To overcome this leave the Neo a long time to connect to as many satalites as it can. In your image the satalite icon is red this is not good. In short wait a lot longer before you take off and always wait until you get the home point has been updated message. This long wait only generally happens on the first flight of the session. Changing batteries for a second flight, the Neo seems to get satalites a lot quicker
