Just got my new P3S today and DJI GO 2.3.0 on Android wanted me to upgrade to 1.1.30 via the APP.

Started the procedure and after a while I got a warning in DJI GO telling me it's failed and asked me to restart RC and aircraft. It failed again but at a later %
Restarted again and after that a loud alarm beep started, waited several minutes, no difference, still loud beep - waited more
and finally turned it off.

What happened here? tried to re-format card (both in PC and from DJO GO) and put the P3C_FW_V99.99.9999.bin-file back no result, still beeps a lot.

The LED above the camera is green, think it was flashing during my earlier reboots but not sure.

For the DJI Go app 2.3.0 is correct. Far as v99.99.9999.bin is new to me. I would be using 1.3.20 to reinstall the firmware both R/C and Phantom 3 Pro. Then try to upgrade to 1.4.0010 on the Phantom alone. If you are getting a loud beep and the gimbal is showing red and green led let it continue till done upgrading. I would format the sd card in DJI Go app and copy only the bin file to the root of the sd card or format it on your pc and copy the bin file to the root of the sd card. Worth a try.

Unfortunately this is the Phantom 3 standard version where you can't update by downloading the file from the dji website...

However the issue with the loud alarm clock sound has just been resolved by doing this;

The .BIN-file left on the SD card, after the first failed attempts to upgrade, was a bit fishy (imo) with it's name "v99.99..." and also only around 55MB of size. I found the proper 1.1.30 63MB file in the data directory of the dji go app (on Android) and copied that to the SD card instead and deleted the fishy file.

After that the bird proceeded with the upgrade up to 100% completion and also the RC was upgraded in step two.

Happy now but no time to fly today ;)
