Can anyone answer this?

Can I write metadata onto the video files via the camera controller of the Inspire 1?  

FCP X uses metadata keywords imbedded in the video for library searches and many professional cameras will allow the operator to write metadata prior and during the shot.  

If not, then please consider this for future upgrades.

cant meta data be edited in the video file?

its much more time consuming to have an assistant editor do it in post.  writing in the field is hallmark of professional.
