I received my Avata 2 today and have a question regarding the flight batteries and the triple charger in the Fly More Kit.

The package I purchased is a refurb unit direct from the DJI Store.  Other than a red sticker on the box saying "RB Unit" I would not be able to tell that it was not an as new package.  Everthing was packaged as I would expect a new item to be.  But what threw me was that first, the flight batts were all completely dead, no indication at all when the button was pressed once.  And second is that putting one, two or three batts in the charger yeilds the same response from the charger when plugging it into power, and that is an immediate blinking light next to the USB-C outlet but nothing happening at the battery indicators.  And there is no charging happening, pressing the button yeilds no change.  This is with the supplied cable in the kit and a charger that is rated at 100W that has succesfully charged the battery while in the quad, as well as the Goggles 3 and motion controller.  Just nothing with the triple charger but the blinking light.

Any ideas?  I haven't contacted support yet as it's late, so I thought perhaps someone here might have some insight.

Thanks,
Jake

You could test the battery with a digital multi meter if you know which pin is a positive and negative.  Should be one of each for every cell.  Did find one image, but not the Avata2 battery.  Assuming, but not a safe assumption that the pattern is the same with all DJI batteries.  Admins. might be able to confirm or provide a schematic for the Avata2.   If cells reading at least 2.8v.  Could be the charging hub is the issue.

So in short the batteries charge fine in the quad but not in the charger, seems we have found the culprit if so, guess DJI should send you a new one if you supply proof

Got a hold of a support rep this morning and a return of the batteries and hub is initiated.  Seems the batts are fine, but the hub is the issue.  Unfortunately they want the batts sent in with the hub which leaves me flightless for a while.

Not specific to your issue. Another source of charging problems can be the USB-C cable being faulty.
Good to hear you will be getting a new hub and batteries.  Hopefully factory fresh to compensate for your experience.

I was able to fly the Avata today for the first time and the batteries are working just fine, tested each one.  So I called support again and got them to agree to just exchange the hub.  So I get to keep flying while I wait for a new hub!   Just need to charge each battery individually in the drone for now which is not too bad as it’s only around 20-25 deg. F outside these days so I’m not able to stay out for too long anyway.

Hello, Jake, if you have already sent the device back, could you provide us with the case number so that we can follow up with you? We look forward to your reply, thank you.
