Any word yet on whether this camera will be receiving an Inspire 1 mount?

I know the S900 received a gimbal mount for their previous pocket camera, but this one seems like a great fit for the Inspire 1.

i had exactly the same question. dji , especially now with x5 and x5r, would never produce a gimbal for the bm micro and inspire . . . . . . fingers crossed for a third party maker to produce one in the near future.

so for those who already have sony's masterpiece rx100 iv could be a great alternative. i am thinking of ordering soon.

I would suggest that the new adapter plate for the X5 to fit the Inspire "may" assist in receiving the gimbal for the Sony. The increased width and length could accept the alternate gimbal and bypass the need for the " barrel" Inspire mount

I like this idea and is worth following.

As I understand from Dronexpert the Gimbal is not as smooth as DJI's however interesting alternative

it has not been tested by users yet, so i don't know. it must be smooth because they announced it right after x5 announcement. . . . as an alternative solution if not better. we will find out soon. the 4k of sony rx100 iv is phenomenal. also 20 megapixel sensor, for photography is a dslr killer. . . . .

Thanks.  I have the original BMCC and the 10-bit ProRes files look amazing when graded.

I can only hope that the Micro gets it's own gimbal and then we will see some amazing footage.  Here is the older pocket camera with the S1000.
