I was taking pics of a youth league football and baseball fields and look what got after me, i had to do some very fast flying to get away from him and to land safley.
He was still circling and looking for me 10 min later when i left.
i took this with my nikon at 300mm wish i had my 500mm with me.
Mostly the birds of prey, such as hawk or eagle, want to spy our birds. When I fly near forest, they sure to check us...
Native people said you fly like Eagle, so they will gone...... but never tried yet.
An Eagle weight 5 KG. The Phantom is like a mosquitos compare to this bird. The propeller would not bother this hunter believe me. He can grab the Phantom with only one leg no trouble and carry it in the sky very far away from you.
That happen to me 2 times last week. One time there was 2 Royal Eagles chasing my P3A.
It was quite a rush to drop down and move quickly left and right and go back home a.s.a.p.
You can see in the blue sky the 2 Eagles turning around after the Phantom escape from them. I started the camera only on my last moments flying back home. What a rush.
Sure is! Lots of them now in southern NH and can easily be mistaken for a Bald Eagle when seen from a distance. There are a few quick telltales when you can't see the coloring, the best one being the shorter neck of the Vulture.
Here's some more info about these really ugly birds. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Turkey_Vulture/id
We have thousands of those darn thing here in Northern California, I see them almost every time I fly, none have chased me yet but one did show a lot of curiosity so I got out of Dodge fast.
