DJI O4 Air Unit Cannot Connect Goggles 2 - Error from O4 AU - Fails
My DJI O4 AU has an error that it cannot connect to my DJI GOGGLES 2.


I have tested the DJI O4 AU, 4 times a week and it works very well, and today I found something unusual that I cannot connect the DJI O4 AU to my DJI Goggles 2 anymore.


There is no incident of falling from a height or strong impact, I am very careful.
I have tried connecting my Goggles 2 to the DJI Avata 1 and DJI FPV Racer available and I can still see the image normally and it works very well.
The supply voltage for the DJI O4 Air Unit is only 5v on the Mamba F722 Mk1 board and the voltage is stable. Currently, the DJI O4 AU is still connected to the computer via the Type-C port and can view the last file.
When I power on the O4, the red light is still on and press the button on the O4 board, the red light flashes (scanning), on my G2 glasses, I also pressed the Bind button but waited for a long time but still failed, I re-run the software for DJI O4 Air Unit, the result is fully loaded, but the connection with G2 is still unsuccessful. The product has not been dropped, there are no signs of scratches or repairs.
I have done Bind G2 glasses with DJI O4 AU many times but failed, please give me a solution.
If I want to warranty the product, where should I contact in Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam?

They checked and took DJI Goggles 3 to connect with my O4 Air Unit and it still shows normal image.

On the contrary, they tested my DJI Goggles 2 with DJI Avata 2 connected together but it did not work, still showing the message "DRONE VERSION TOO EARLY".

But when I reconnected DJI Goggles 2 with DJI O3, DJI Vista, DJI Avata, DJI FPV Racer still worked fine, clear image.

Could DJI have made a mistake by locking the O4 communication protocol on my DJI G2 goggles?

I used another email account to activate the DJI Goggles 2 and DJI FPV Remote Controller 2, then used a second account to activate the O4 Air Unit????

Yesterday, I posted another article about this issue... I will detail the failure process below:

Before that, my DJI Goggles 2 was still working fine with the DJI O4Au, I controlled my drone with the Radiomaster Pocket using the TBS Crossfire wave module and it was very stable.

Then I want to test the "DJI O4Au" "SBUS" protocol to connect DJI Goggles 2 and DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 together, to see if it works well?

When DJI Goggles 2 is displaying good images from DJI O4Au, I press the button on DJI O4Au (red light flashes continuously). At this time, the image on DJI Goggles 2 is not displayed, I hold the power button on DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 and wait for continuous beep (Waiting for connection from DJI O4Au)........
I waited and heard the beep for a long time, then DJI Goggles 2 returned to displaying images from DJI O4Au but I still heard continuous beeps from DJI FPV Remote Controller 2, still trying to wait (about 10 minutes).
Then I tried to connect again for the second time, pressing the button on the DJI O4Au (red light blinking continuously), the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 still kept beeping, the DJI Goggles 2 was no longer displayed, and also waited for a long time (about 5 minutes), still could not connect the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 to the DJI O4Au.

And since then I cannot see any image from the DJI O4Au on my DJI Goggles 2 anymore.

Since then, my DJI Goggles 2 cannot use any other O4 waves (including DJI Avata2).

That was the last time I could connect my DJI Goggles 2 to the DJI O4Au, I tried to connect it to the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2. ONLY 2 TIMES, BUT WITHOUT SUCCESS.

Activated my device with 2 different emails.
I used the first EMAIL account to activate DJI Goggles 2 and DJI FPV Remote Controller 2.

When I bought O4Au, I used the second EMAIL account (different from email 1) to activate DJI O4Au.

Is the above error caused by different activation email accounts?

Or is the hardware of my DJI Goggles 2 device having problems with the O4 wave?

Why can't my DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 connect to DJI O4Au, it can still connect to DJI O3Au and work perfectly.

ALL WERE UPDATED TO THE LATEST VERSION AT THAT TIME.

Please reply me soon. In the meantime, I will temporarily use the DJI O3 Air Unit...

There is probably a bug somewhere on the DJI O4 Au or on the DJI Goggles 2 that causes the time to change from 2025-02-08 20:03:22 back to 1970-01-01 00:00:05 like that. On my DJI Goggles 2 there is no such time change bug. Is there a problem with the DJI O4 Au?

Bonjour, oui c'est le même problème que beaucoup de personnes sur le forum, fonctionne parfaitement et du jour au lendemain se message d'erreur dans les lunettes avec un statue incompréhensible sans les lunettes disant de mettre a jour le drone sur dji fly alors que les air unit ne sont pas utilisable sur dji fly, essayer plusieurs fois sans succès, j'ai essayer tout se qui a pus lire et être essayer par les utilisateurs d'intégration et g2 pour régler le problème mais sans succès, se qui me fait peur par contre c'est que le problème est pas résolu alors que dans le forum des personnes on se problème depuis plusieurs semaines, depuis quelques jours après la sortie des o4
J'espère vite avoir une solution car j'ai 2 airunit o4 et je vais certainement pas acheter un goggles N3 juste pour ça a par si il est offert biensur,
Plus sérieusement j'ai jamais était déçu de la qualité dji en 4 ans d'utilisation, vous êtes au top mais se problème est vraiment désagréable

Hello DJI,

I am experiencing the same Issue, where the Goggles 2 have the error "Drone version too early" when trying to connect to the O4 Air unit (non pro).

This can not be since both firmwares are at the latest version possible.
I also cant seem to reset the Air Unit, because as the User creating this Thread already suspected, my Air Unit also was activated with a different account as the Goggles were activated with. I cant reset it, because there is just no option to do so in Assistant 2.
The Air Unit and Drone is brand new and was never flown by me.

Please find a solution to this. I have found multiple people having this exact problem.

At the time i posted this, there was a new update for goggles 2 which I could not test at the time.
After updating, the issue is no longer present.
