Hi All
Just got hold of a L2 Lidar for our 350 and wondering if you can use it in oblique angle in order to map vertical walls, buildings etc. Not much about it online other then DJI recommends using ortho (nadir) mode. Anyone out there tried it and got any comments?
Cheers

Hi, there
Thanks for your patience.
May we confirm if you would like to use the L2 for the engineering infrastructure?
If so, you can refer to the recommended operation parameters below:
1.  Payload Type: Zenmuse L2-LiDAR Mapping
2.  Data Collection Type: Ortho Collection
3.  Flight Altitude: 100 m
5.  IMU Calibration: Enable it.
6.  Flight Route Speed: 15 m/s
7.  Area Route Planning: Whole mapping area
8.  Side Overlap Ratio: 30%
9.  Scanning Mode: Non-Repetitive Scanning
10.  Return Mode: Penta Return
11.  Photo Mode: Timed Interval Shot
12.  Others: RTK FIX
It's recommended that with the help of waypoint flight combined with the target object to involve and plan the route mission for acquisition, can also be used to tilt the route to range acquisition, please pay attention to insert into the calibration flight.

I want to be able to map both building facades and cliff faces. This would mean having the L2 set to horizontal (oblique) not vertical (nadir). If I set the L2 up as you suggest this will put the sensor looking straight down (nadir). This is not what I want. What you have given me is what is in the manual which is good for doing nadir surveys. I want to do oblique surveys.
Thanks
