My ESC (electronic speed controller) went up in flames a few weeks back.
I ordered a new one (and a new FC - flight controller), put it in, soldered everything (hate it!) and then the O3 Air Unit lost its power when the quad was armed (motors spinning) and it got a minor hit (like normal fpv landing). So I put in the new FC - same thing. So I put in a different O3 (I now have two lying around as I bought two O4s) - same thing. I could fly but on landing (unless landing light as a feather) it turned off only to restart after 5 seconds. Did my range test flight.
So I put in the O4 and it seemed to work. Did my range test flight with the O4, went out on the weekend, flew one flight - no probs. Flew at a different location and the visual connection was lost - without thinking it through I disarmed (which means that the motors stop and the quad falls out of the sky) - I should've ripped off the goggles and landed line of sight.
Anyway, one of two antennas gone (15 bucks, needed to order new ones). Contacted the store. They have now sent me a new FC. The first test in my house (not advisable) went okay.
So that's the story and even if this now (seems to) solve the problem I don't expect to ever feel totally comfortable with this drone again - one of the reasons I ordered the Chimera (my last ever drone until the next last one;-))

I need to take some shots before we get out of winter so Ive been out testing some settings but that does require a tripod to make work.

The bottom part a little bit yes,   although from a bigger distance to get the landscape in.

I got one flight in this afternoon, from the supermarket carpark whilst Mrs.B was shopping.
I had all three batteries, but it was too darned cold for more than the one

Too windy here when I flew the avata,  I was going straight but looking 30 degrees to the side. .  I do wish we could have the snow and then get on with spring.

Not with this one, no.
So now I'm debating if I should try to make it fly again at all or just leave it and use the O4 in another O3 drone that I otherwise would've kept at O3...
