just fired up my DGI flip getting "Gimbal motor overload. Land aircraft and manually check whether gimbal can rotate freely. (Code 1D100003)" when I checked the Gimble there is nothing obstructing the gimbal the gimbal moves freely. I can control the gimbal from my controller.  I've checked to see if updates are available. None were. I restarted pulled the battery and restarted it again. Still getting error message.

The gimbal moves freely. Nothing obstructing it, but the error message still persist.  This is on a DJI Flop

Yes, I have performed the steps as listed and it changes nothing the gamble does move freely, but still get the message on the controller

I had a similar issue, but I didn't record the error code. When I received the drone brande new, went to activate ir and received a gimbal overload error, but the gimbal managed to calibrate using the option on camera control of DJI RC2. In a inspection before any flight, I noted that the camera was out of focus for everything farther than a certain close distance, so, was the AF system on the camera that was causing the error message. I power down the drone and give a little and gentle bump in the camera module, powerup it and since it's all fine. Probably something got stuck during the shipment of my drone

Tried that, still getting "Gimbal motor overload. Land aircraft and manually check whether gimbal can rotate freely. (Code 1D100003)" when I checked the Gimbal there is nothing obstructing the gimbal, the gimbal moves freely.  Pulled the battery and repeated still getting the error message

1. Before using the aircraft, please remove the gimbal protector/gimbal buckle and the protection sticker and unfold the aircraft arms. Then place the aircraft on a flat surface and check whether any foreign objects obstruct the gimbal and camera.
2. If a third-party accessory is installed, such as a filter or a wide-angle lens, remove it and check whether the warning still appears.
3. If this warning appears in the app when the aircraft is in Sport (S) mode, try to push the control stick gently, and the app warning will disappear automatically.


If the issue still persists, it is advisable to send the device back for testing. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. may I confirm the DJI aircraft you owned? Also, is the firmware updated with the latest version in both aircraft and remote control? if not, kindly update/refresh the firmware version.

Me pasa exactamente lo mismo, mi Flip nuevo solo 6 ciclos de la batería, no se ha chocado, solo lo saqué, intenté volarlo en el interior de mi casa y me salió este error 1d010003 Sobrecarga del motor del estabilizador... Será este un problema del DJI FLIP... que DJI responda y aclare su este es un problema de este dron, algún componente de hardware del cardan que este dando este fallo

For the error code 180059, the aircraft will disable vision sensors when it is on the ground to reduce power consumption.  After the propellers rotate, all vision sensors will be enabled. If the gimbal motor overload is indicated on the ground. Please unfold the aircraft arms, remove the gimbal protector, take off the camera rubber cover, and lay the aircraft flat to ensure the gimbal can tilt freely without any obstructions. Perform an auto-check or Gimbal Auto Calibration again. If the app still indicates gimbal motor overload or Gimbal Auto Calibration fails. Please tell us your country/region you are located in. We will check on this further for you.

saludos, he realizado todo lo que indicas, he verificado que no halla nada que obstruya el cardan, he limpiado meticulosamente y al realizar la calibración automática del cardan avanza a 40% y aquí falla, he reestablecido el dron, lo he vuelto a actualizar a la versión más reciente y nada parece funcionar...
El dron fue comprado en Estados Unidos a través de Amazon, pero yo recido en Panamá, he escrito a soporte al cliente de DJI y me indican que la garantía es solo en ESTADOS UNIDOS, que en mi País, tendria que correr por mi cuenta y devolver esto a Estados Unidos tiene un coste de 128.00 dólares y con los momentos que vivimos de la problematica en USA podria tener problemas de aduanas con este envio... He pedido ayuda para que se me revise esto en mi País con mi garantía, pero la respuesta de soporte se DJI fue no es posible...
Yo agradecería cualquier ayuda o algo que pueda yo hacer para solucionar este error.. pero nada parece estar funcionando para eliminar este error

Yo escribí atraves del enlace que proporciona Amazon que me envía a obtener soporte directamente de la página de apoyo de dji, te dejo captura... Realmente me encuentro en una situación un poco difícil se trasladar esto de Panama a Estados Unidos para ejercer la garantía por los costes de envío y los posibles problemas de aduanas que esto puede suponer, hubiese agradecido un poco más de ayuda de DJI para poder revisar este dron en servicio técnico en mi País, pero me explicaron que por la compra en Estados Unidos solo tengo garantía en Estados Unidos... Es una lastima realmente ya que siento que no ha sido un error mío y quizás este problema sea un defecto de hardware
De igual manera agradezco mucho su atención, han Sido aquí más atentos que hasta en el mismo servicio de soporte de la página oficial de DJI
