Definitely the right equipment to get the job done efficiently.  Impressive job on this video.  

It is interesting that OSR is a crop grown for its oil, but has other important uses such as for food, feed, and industrial purposes.  It can also be a profitable break crop in a rotation.

Yeah, the first time I pulled one out of the ground I was really surprised at the size of the tap root.  No doubt these plants are well anchored in.

It's a company called Ernest Does.    They have a big show every year to show off the equipment.

yea very much so tho ive seen the roots be deeper

I'm guessing a lot has to do with the soil content as to how long the tap roots get.

yea compaction as well...

Yeah, I could tell you some compaction horror stories, but I want bore you.    I'll give you a little hint though....a stick of dynamite works wonders.
