Well I am enjoying my Avata 2 so much with the goggles N3 and Motion Controller 3 I am getting more daring. I am starting to think I need to have a second one incase I break no 1. Ebay has them for about £370 with a single battery. I think I might buy 1.

Or how long do you all recon it will be until the Avata 3 or indeed Neo 2 ???????

What about just making sure you have care refresh on it and then you can get it fixed/replaced if you have an issue.

I have got Care Refresh. This was the only drone I have ever bought it on...... But to be honest that takes ages...... and costs. I am a bit of a now person so if I broke it I would want a new one within minutes. That is part of the reason I have 3 Neos.
And aways remember the only way to waste money is not to spend it lol

In you last video re bridges. Was that the Avata 2 and Motion 3 or FPV 3 and Avata 2. I suspect it was not the Neo ?

Its the flood defence for Canvey Island.  

If my life would depend on it, I would not hesitate.
But for a drone, I'm good with one.
I'd rather spend my budget on other stuff (like the Mic 2 which i bought recently)

I was in the same boat with FPV drone so I made the decision when I was closer to the end of my Care Refresh and it was obvious the FPV2 drone is nowhere on the horizon.  Giving it more time allow the price of the single FPV drone + battery kit to continue to fall in price and when it finally hit a low point, I pulled the trigger even though Care Refresh was still in effect.

Having a 2nd drone NIB feels a little bit better than having Care Refresh if only from the Fly Away process.  Even so, I feel like I can crash and then simply resort to parts while I open the NIB unit, start fresh, and grab Care Refresh again.  No need to submit for repair and cross my fingers (which I will do) but just won't have to worry about a high estimate.  Felt more in control not having to face that repair bill when Care Refresh ran out.

An FPV new battery is $100.  I bought the single FPV kit + battery NIB on Ebay for ~$300

eBay has a new Avata drone only with one battery at £369

I am thinking DJI will release a new full size FPV drone like the original

First time that I agree with you in near to 100 messages. Someday had to come the First

No desire for a FLIP.  Just wanting an immersive flier with a quality digital goggle image. Impatiently waiting for the next gen DJI FPV.  Plan is to purchase if a sub250gm model and compatible with Goggles 3 and FPV RC3. Will not purchase a 3rd DJI "controller" or another goggle model.  But now considering a 2nd Avata2 due to the possible TrumpTariff.  Unlike the Neo, the Avata2 would probably not survive some of my manual mode crashes. Mass + higher speed = destruction.  At the least a 4th battery and a backup charging hub.
