I just received a new Power 2000 expansion battery. I have two (2) Power 1000 units, both of which have been successfully updated to the lateset firmware version. When connecting the new Power 2000 battery to either Main unite with the provided SDC cable (following the instructions in the video carefully) both 1000's hang with an "erro3" code and proceed no further. This code represents "External accessory software version error" and offers as the solution "[color=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.65)]Use DJI Assistant 2 to update the firmware of the device." DJI Assistant 2 cannot recognize the Power 2000. So how is its firmware to be updated?

Hello Cairnwalker 6,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with DJI.

To address the issue with your Power Expansion Battery 2000, please ensure that the DJI Power 1000 units and the expansion battery are properly connected. Once connected, you can use the DJI Assistant 2 (Power Series) software to update the firmware of the power units. Alternatively, you can perform a consistency upgrade as prompted by the DJI HOME APP. Please note that a Bluetooth module may be required for this process.

Please be aware that the DJI Assistant 2 (Power Series) will not directly recognize the expansion battery. When the Power 1000 units are connected to the expansion battery, it will appear as EB-1. At this point, you can proceed with the firmware upgrade using the DJI Assistant 2 (Power Series) software. Meanwhile, you can check for firmware updates and perform upgrades directly through the DJI HOME APP.

Thank you for your understanding and support. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to contact us.

I'm so glad you asked this question, I was stuck on the same thing. That answer from Stephen fixed it, just did the same update method, but had the expansion battery hooked up to the 1000 as normal. When it did the final step of the 1000s update, it did the 2000 right after, showing up over the progress bar as EB1. Seems to be working fine now, it's charging the unit up. I didn't realize those SDC ports could carry data too.

Hello Cairnwalker 6,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with DJI.

Hello, I have the Dji Power 1000 and TWO expansion batteries.  When I hook the FIRST expansion battery up to the Power 1000 it recognizes it and will charge it.  However when I hook the SECOND expansion battery to the FIRST expansion battery it seems like there is no communication.  Please advise.

Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to DJI. Could you please provide any relevant materials, such as a video or photos, showcasing the process when the second expansion battery is connected to the first one and experiencing communication issues? Additionally, could you detail how you are connecting the batteries and the method used?

You can upload any relevant materials, such as videos or photos, to Dropbox or Google Drive. Once uploaded, please share the link with us so we can assist you further.

This information will help us better understand and address the issue. Thank you.
