Hi everyone, I regularly use DJI enterprise drones and products for inspection tasks. Recently, I installed the DJI Power 1000, along with the Power 2000 expansion battery and the 1KW car fast charger, as a replacement for my gasoline generator.

After several days of use, I noticed a overheating issue with the DJI Power 1000, which appears to be related to the factory firmware settings. Based on my testing:
        •        When the AC output is below 1000W, the ventilation fan either doesn’t activate or spins at a very low speed, causing the unit to overheat within 15-20 minutes in an ambient temperature of around 35°C.
        •        However, when I increase the AC output above 1500W (e.g., 1700W), the ventilation fan engages properly, and no overheating occurs.

This suggests that fan activation is currently tied to AC output power rather than the unit’s internal temperature, which can lead to overheating when running low-power ac loads in warm conditions.

I’d love to see DJI refine the firmware settings so that the ventilation fan operates based on temperature rather than AC output. Alternatively, adding an option in the mobile app to manually control the fan speed (e.g., force it to run at full speed) would be a great solution. This would significantly improve heat management and enhance the overall reliability of the Power 1000.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Looking forward to your insights!

Thanks!

According to DJI support, the fan should normally run at full power even below 1000W AC output. Can anyone in this forum test it and share their results, please?
