Another hot of the press negative news story for drones.  Also seems everytime I see a new negative story it always has a picture of DJI Phantom 3.  Its like everytime I take my P3 into a public place I feel like people are thinking... "oh hey, that's the drone I saw on the news... wow, that guy must be a creep... a moron... a fricking idiot... I bet he's up to no good with that".
I really hate the stigma drones have and its only getting worse.  Blah!

Probably whatever stock footage they had on hand.  In the same report they said the city passed an ordinance making it a misdemeanor to fly within 5 miles of an airport, fly over 400 feet, etc.  A recent report of a guy flying a quad on the national mall got an $85 fine.

I starting to think these "killer drones in the skies" sensationalized type reports happen on slow news days...

DJI gets blamed for everything!

I have to agree with you Storm 100% and I have the same feeling. When you mention that you have one and fly it the first words out of their mouth is "one of those Guys"! A couple of idiots ruin it for the rest of us that mainly enjoy scenic Photography and some who use them for constructive endeavors.

Today's drone is yesterdays Pit Bull.

Two years ago, cities were coming out with ordinances requiring either licensing and insurance or out right bans on ownership.

Now we have the UAV to go after.
