Dont buy any sort of stick Controller, Dont listen to the out dated so Called 'Professional' FPV Pilots........ Just buy and use the DJI Motion Controller 3 in what ever DJI Combo you can buy. I would initially recommend the DJI Neo Motion Fly more Combo. You will have great success, You will be flying and enjoying it in a very short time. You will have return to home, GPS and Excellent stabilisation. Then move onto the DJI Avata 2. Or you could spend double on a so called professional FPV system, Have wires hanging all over the place, Have no return to home, Have no stabilisation, haver to faff about with a computer and Beta Flight looking at settings you most likely dont understand and will most likely get stressed and give up and or crash your very expensive drone.

I have been flying a lot now with the motion controller 3 and it is such fun. See below video

I am not Interested in any Comments from Burt of that other F chap. I simply dont bother to read them
I would advise others to ignorm them also as I have seen no evidence from them that they even fly anything

The idea that you don't like to fly in manual mode was clear at 100% in the other thread of the forum and I respect that you prefer to fly with the motion controller, but you follow without giving the arguments for all the statements that you posted against the phisycs evidences.

That's no skin of my nose! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion...

But you can't deny, that it is much better, when their opinion is actually based on real fact and not fear and/or incompetence!

Just because you have severe issues while having approach FPV for the first time, you shouldn't feel the need to cripple other people just starting the hobby with bad advices...

That's my opinion off course...

Here is your evidence of your experience "Stress Free"

"Well I am just not good enough. I have been flying the Avata 2 and the Neo with the goggles N3 and the Motion Controller 3 and loving it. I have the FPV Controller 3 so decided to give that a go.

I tried the FPV Controller 3 first in Normal mode and then in Sports mode. I could fly quite well but no where near as good as with the motion controller 3. It was ok but no where as much fun for me. I then put the Neo on the FPV Controller into Manual mode and as far as I was concerned it was horrible. At my skill level all I was going to do was crash and crash again."

Your own words...

To each his/her own. Just enjoy and be gentle with your opinions.

For some like a friend who told me "DJI, and you will crash less" it is all about video capture.  He needs the camera/sensor quality, stability, tracking system of his Mavic to meet his needs.  I tell him "you need to learn to fly".  In between manual mode and his video mode their is a need by many for the MC3/MC2 controllers to have fun.    Coming from a manual mode advocate who will always be relatively "mediocre".  No Dubai Million trophy.  No sponsorship. No anything that is relatively an objective eval of my skill = ?.
Personally a little "stress" is fine.  Enjoy those pucker moments.   Crashing is sort of a bummer.  For others immersive FPV is more for relaxing.

If everybody speaks like you, this forum will be 10000 better, but when someone treats the ones that doesn't share your oppinions like fools... we get to this points.

Perhaps MC 4 will change my mind on that and get support on the air units etc,   but as I want to fly air units with the DJI goggles its worth the time and effort to learn to use the manual remote.

But for people who are new to FPV without any doubt. The way I suggest in the Video is the way to go. People who only want to fly with sticks are simply clinging to the Past and wont embrace the modern way and new things. But of course do what suits you. I am trying to give new FPV flyers good advice so they enjoy their quite expensive Purchase. Sticks are not the best way for learners. That is the Motion Controller 3. DJI knew exactly what they were doing.

@Bigplumbs you are assuming that I am an old experienced FPV pilot who started in this world flying traditional quads when absolutely that's not true.
I started in the FPV just like you with an Avata 2 and when I had  confidence enough in my abilities then I jumped to the traditional quads and the full manual control after spending hours in the simulator.

I share with you the idea that nowadays a drone like the Neo or the Avata 2 is the perfect way to start in the FPV world without taking risks, but try to limit people to the motion controller is a perfect message to prevent people of enjoying the 80% of the experience of this awesome world.

You don't like sticks, it's fine, but let people take their own decissions based on their own experience.

I would love to learn to fly FPV from you, after having read your last post...

+ 100 on this...

What it works for one it may don't work for another....

Sharing personal opinion is what forums used to be all about...

Unfortunately, some people believe they know best, and they will constantly get out of their way to push their belief down your throat...

I have no problem in listening or reading your personal experience, but you always must remember that individuality does exist, and that your experience is exactly that... Yours!

Bigplumbs has severe difficulty in understanding that!

Bigplumbs,
I respect the opinion you gave, but i believe is wrong. Using sticks is not outdated, because it is the only way to fly manual. I agree, learning to fly sticks was incredibly hard, but now i fly in manual mode with sticks on a daily basis because of watching youtube videos and flight sims. you can always buy the FPV controller 3, and just fly in normal mode.

thanks,

I wouldn't consider the motion controller part of the fpv hobby. when some one says FPV Hobby, they usually mean or think of acro drones doing a bunch of super cool moves and a great pilot. I could be wrong though.
