Hello
I received my new Avata fly more combo a week ago and had charged everything up for the maiden flight. Yesterday I topped off the batteries as I recall someting about them automatically discharging to a certain percentage after a few days. This morning I went out and had my first successful flight but as it was quite cold here (-18c) I only flew for the 10 minutes or so prior to the battery bringing the drone back to me. I brought everything home but now this one batter will not charge in the hub?
I have tried different slots. When I unplug and then plug the hub back in, the two charged batteries show as charged and the one shows one LED and then stops showing any indication it is doing anything as it did when I originally charged all three. If I press the button on the battery it shows one LED and then stops showing anything.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out and we do apologize for the trouble caused.  Before charging the battery, kindly double precheck the battery as the following:

1.Observe whether the overall appearance of the battery is damaged or bulging, and whether the charging port is abnormal;
This issue indicates that the battery might have been damaged. Do not charge the battery again. It is recommended to provide photos showing the six surfaces when the battery is laid horizontally and the connecting ports to determine subsequent solutions.

2. Press the power button to see if the battery LED1 is always on or flashing or the battery cannot be powered off?
This issue indicates that the battery has been damaged. If the product is under warranty, please send it back for testing. If the product is out of warranty, please purchase a new one.

3. Press the power button once and see if the battery LED 2 and LED 3 are always on or flashing and the battery cannot be turned off?
This issue indicates that the battery is updating the firmware. If the battery level is too low and cannot continue updating, please connect the battery to the charger for about half an hour. Then, mount it into the aircraft to update again. Do not use the battery charging hub for charging a battery during an update.

4. Please check if the battery LED light will light up or not after a long-time charging, press the power button to see if the LED lights up or not. ( If the customer has other batteries, it is charged normally with this charger or not).
If the LED does not light up, which indicates that the battery has been damaged; please advise to send it back for testing within the warranty period, and to purchase a new one if it is out of the warranty period.

Kindly update us the results. Thank you for your understanding.

Yes this worked - but why? I will reply in a little more depth to Natalia below. Thank you for your help.

Hello and thanks for your reply. As noted in my reply to @DAFlys, plugging the battery into the drone worked but Id like to know why it won't charge in any of the charging slots of the hub.
While in the hub with the 2 other fully charged batteries, only the 1st LED would light momentarily and then nothing would happen. If I pressed the button the single LED would light again then nothing. If I pressed it once then held it again for a couple seconds like I would to power on the drone, I would get 4 LEDs for a second then nothing. I plugged the battery into the drone and the drone into the same charger and cord and it started charging immediately. While writing this I thought to go see if this somehow "woke" the battery up and I inserted it back into the hub as before and now it's indeed charging. (I'm using a Samsung smart charger typically used for my S21+ but have ordered the 65 watt DJI unit).
Your thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

Hi there, thank you for the response. Could you please share us  video recording showing the exact issue for us to analyze it and provide with an accurate solution?

Looking forward and thank you for your understanding.

Were you able to full charge the battery in the drone?
Did you notice the battery becoming excessively warm while charging in the drone?

If you have an inline USB-C power meter(usually ~$20) you can monitor mAH, watts, rate.  Maybe the voltage sag due to cold temperature flying stress was significantly too low that the charging hub detects too low a safe voltage too charge.  If able to fully charge in the drone.  Next time you charge up the battery in the drone you can determine how many mAH loaded from x% capacity remaining to when the drone notes fully charged. Compare against your healthy batteries. If significantly lower.  Your battery has prematurely "aged".  Or just a defective battery.  Another option is just to fly with the battery and compare relative flight times against you good batteries.

Sometimes if the batteries are nearly full they don't start charging in the hub.

I only used the one battery and to the extent that the drone came home due to low power.

As mentioned, after I put it in the drone it started to charge. Then while replying to you at that time, I thought I'd just go throw it back in the hub and sure enough, it continued to charge. It is now fully charged. So - sorry, no video. But thank you for reaching out.

Thank you for your message. No, I only tried it in the drone and as soon as I did it started charging. Then I went to reply to Natalia here and I thought I'd go and try it back in the hub - the notion being that beginning the charging process in the drone somehow brought the battery out of a hibernation state. It did indeed keep charging like one would expect and is now fully charged.

.... Sure does take an awful long time though.

Was the battery still hot when you tried to charge it,     that would have stopped the process until it cooled down.

No sir and it never really got hot to begin with as I was flying in -18C weather.

I do have an aside though: There was quite a bit of snow in the area and I had cleaned a picnic table off for takeoff and landing. When it came home of it's own accord due to a low battery, it would not land at the table and there was a message of some sort on my goggles - I don't recall exactly the verbiage but something to the effect that it wasn't a safe place to land - it simply hovered about 8 feet off the ground and I had to reach up and pluck it out of the air and power it down. Suggestions on a finger friendlier way of accomplishing this would be appreciated!

I hand catch mine a lot,    bring it down to nice height for you and then take it from the top and flip it upside down.  That kills the motors.
