While flying the Flip using the phone does it connect to GPS?

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Kindly note that the GPS module is not dependent on the mobile phone's GPS and DJI Flip has it;s own GPS system. To ensure a good signal, we recommend flying the drone in open environments.
