I placed my order (No. 0019148824016) on February 19th. Before placing it, I checked with an agent and was assured that the package would be shipped domestically. However, I later found out that it was actually shipped from Hong Kong, China. Had I known this earlier, I would have purchased from another authorized seller.
While every agent I’ve spoken to has been helpful, my package is still delayed at customs. Since my travel date is approaching, I’m concerned about whether it will clear in time. Any updates or advice on this situation would be greatly appreciated.
Any thought on facilitating the clearance? Thank you.

FedEx told me to contact US Customs since it's out of their control, but US Customs said I need to go through FedEx to provide my SSN—what a runaround!

Update: I was able to connect with a CBP officer, who confirmed that the main reason for the detention—affecting hundreds of packages, including mine—is the absence of two required documents: certificate of origin and commercial invoice (FedEx has it but not provided to CBP). It’s unclear why DJI or FedEx has not provided these documents to customs along with the shipment.

Yes, FedEx told me that they only have commercial invoice but not certificate of origin. I am waiting for dji to send me the certificate of origin, if possible, with commercial invoice again.

Seems like there are some delay/miscommunications between FedEx Hongkong and FedEx US. I contacted with FedEx HK (sender) which said I need it. Would recommend getting in touch with them during business hours of Beijing time zone. :-)

call 8883273395 and ask for a docusign of Form 5106. FedEx would send you through Docusign over the phone.

FedEx sent mine without asking, I went ahead and filled it out. I called DJI as well since I'm getting conflicting information and they told me they submitted the documents.   According to CBP every shipment from DJI is getting flagged and detained due to the battery.  Just fyi for anyone wanting to buy one right now.

Just as an update. I talked to an US CBP officer today again and CBP is asking for a "Certificate of Origin" or letter of assurance regarding the sourcing of the Lithelium-ion battery and confirming that it was not produced using child labor.
While talking with the officer, the officer mentioned to me that recently there were hundreds of packages got detained and they have not released any.

Update: I’ve done everything I can over the past few days—making around 60 phone calls to CBP, FedEx, and DJI. The latest update is that CBP seems to have received something, but their system is down, so the officer couldn’t check further. It’s been a lot of back-and-forth, and I’ve received conflicting information from all sides. But this issue shouldn't last too long; once it’s resolved, the package should have no problem until a new accuse arises.

I finally got ahold of someone that actually knows something.. Customs officer said there was over 150 of these drones waiting for all the paperwork to go through and he has no idea how long it will take.  DJI should ABSOLUTELY stop all US sales until they can get these things in the country.  It's absolutely ridiculous that we have to wait after spending thousands on a product they KNEW wouldn't arrive to the customer.

I ordered one from an Amazon reseller, who did nothing for a month while in customs, eventually returned/refunded.  My second order is over a month old, first time customs rejected within days, DJI promised to re ship, but has not.  DJI still has my money, but NO drone.  Due to NOT being able to disprove the use of slave labor, DJI is basically out of business in the US,but fail to admit that.
