Just had my drone with me in Mexico and it did most of the automated features without issue. Then I went to do a drone and after performed the drone, it came back halfway and then just decided to start flying sideways But I was able to run after it and grab it…
It was a bit of a windy day, so I didn’t think too much of it and it performed a drone. Find a couple more times as well as the other features.
The following day with a fresh battery I did the drone again and it flew backwards. 10 m came back most of the way and then it stopped then just slowly started to fly sideways until it crashed into the water and disappeared.  What is the point of this drone if it can’t do the basic task!???  What are my options now to replace this stupid thing?

Where did you try the quickshot dronie, is it near water or a dim/dark environment?

You could try producing a Flyaway report on Dji website

Sorry to hear that,
it is a bit hard to visualize the drone flyaway movement, but if it suddenly changes direction, that could be the cause of internal malfunction or external environment such wind, the neo only has level 4 wind resistance

better to contact the Dji on the web, so they will respond much quicker, although it does sound like a bot, at least you could try to provide them the flight data

i submitted a report on the dji site...  i didn't have a flight record on my app as I did not use my phone or remote i just used the neo's built in dronie feature...   
when I bought the drone does it come with coverage or what ?   what will be happening if I have no flight log or pics or video ?

Coverage only if you purchased it. IIRC, there is a deductible of ~50% of the price of the drone alone for fly away coverage.   But if new the Neo might be covered under warranty assuming you have the Neo for them to inspect.
