I'm very interested about the FLIP, but it seems that's the Point of Interest feature is limited ? Only people, not objects ?

Is that right ?

And if so, why a so restrictive limitation ? Any chance to see it unlocked soon ?

Hi there! Thank you for reaching out to us. Upon checking, I can confirm that the DJI Flip Intelligent Flight Features do include FocusTrack. FocusTrack offers three types of camera movements:

-Spotlight: This feature enables the camera to continuously face the subject.
-Point of Interest (POI): This allows the aircraft to fly around the subject.
-ActiveTrack: This feature enables the aircraft to follow the subject.

Please note that the aircraft may not be able to avoid moving subjects such as people, animals, or vehicles. When using FocusTrack, we recommend paying close attention to your surrounding environment to ensure flight safety.

thanks for your reply, but you don't answer my question.

I'd like to do "POI" around things like a tower, a statue, a small building. But it seems that on the FLIP this feature is "locked" and can be done only around humans, not objects.

It's very disappointing, as with other aircrafts you can design object targets too. It's only a software lock, and I'd like to know if any chance to see it unlock on the FLIP or not ...

i think you mean the P.O.I. mode where you fly around a tower, tree, statue etc. which you marked before. For example. Yes this works with the Flip. But for this you need a Controller. Not the smartphone. I have a Video made about this.

In my video i marked the two towers for the hunters on the RC 2 controller. Then i choose the direction and speed and the Flip fly around them.

thanks for your message. It's exactly what I was looking for.  I should receive my FLIP today,

After ordering the FLIP, I was looking some videos and saw an information telling that POI worked only with human targets, not objects. I was really disappointed, as the FLIP matched all my requirements.

But I wanted to be sure. Now I am sure it works with structures too. Thanks a lot for your demonstration

what they mean is a other option. Its called "Active tracking" for following. Thats works only with humans at the Flip. But for the P.O.I. or Spotlight you can mark anythink you want. But you need one of the two controller for this.
