I have a Neo and the RC-N3 controller. When the RC-N3 is plugged into the phone the RC-N3 battery drains pretty fast to charge the attached phone. The phone has plenty of battery power so, I don't want RC-N3 to charge the phone. I have not found a way to stop that.

Some phones can configure the USB for charging/data or both. This phone does not appear to have that option.

Typically, after a flying session the phone is 100% and the RC-N3 is down to 2 lights.

I did notice the phone had Quick Charge for USB turned on. I disabled that, which should reduce the amount of power drawn from the RC-N3 over a given time period.

The simplest way is adding a resistor to the vcc cable, it lowers the ampere so the phone won't charge, the other option is a diode

Hi there! We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. The DJI RC-N3 remote controller charges a connected Android mobile device by default and cannot be turned off. However, you can choose to turn on or off the function when connecting to an iOS mobile device.

I followed the Zolly YT video and built a similar USB wire. It works. I can turn on and off the phone charge with a push bottom:

That photo was before I put shrink tubing on.

DJI should provide an android cable that doesn't allow the phone to charge from the radio.
