Hi there. We noticed the problem you mentioned about connecting DJI Mic to DJI RC 2.

Note: DJI Fly does not support audio recording when recording cached videos. Therefore, all cached videos recorded will be silent regardless of whether a DJI Mic series product is connected. The remote controllers with screens can only use DJI Mic series products for audio recording during screen recording or a live stream.

Currently, the DJI Mic Series has not completed compatibility and adaptation for use with DJI RC 2. In initial testing, connecting the DJI Mic Series receiver to the Type-C port (Host Type-C for DJI RC) located at the bottom of the remote controller allows the recording of audio from the DJI Mic Series transmitters while using the controller's screen recording function.

If you have already purchased these devices and encountered any issues during use, please record the process and send it to us for further feedback to our engineers for confirmation.

hi. thank you for the info although I really only see how that would work well for tutorials with the controller but I'm trying to do vlogging. I'll probably just record on my phone mic and sync up the audio in post production. hopefully soon your team can find the solution for this problem

Hello average_joe, thank you for your response. The DJI RC 2 has a speaker but no built-in microphone. If you need to connect a headset with a microphone to the bottom USB-C port of the remote controller, you can follow these steps:
(1) If the headset has a USB-C connector, simply plug it into the bottom USB-C port of the remote controller.
(2) If the headset has a 3.5mm connector, try using a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter to connect it to the remote controller.
Additionally, you can also connect an external microphone, such as the DJI Mic, for better audio recording.
We appreciate your feedback and hope this helps with your vlogging needs.

ever since you posted this I've been confused on what you mean by cached videos is this any different than just pushing the record button and watching the playback or did you mean cached videos as the playback of the recorded video

Hi Joe, we're sorry for any confusion caused. Specifically, cached video means saving the image transmission screen through the App settings when shooting a video so that it can be played back or viewed when needed. If you need further assistance, just feel free to let us know. We're here to help!

Hi average_joe, could you please confirm whether the video you referenced was screen-recorded? If that is the case, it includes recorded audio. Thanks.

well I haven't made any recordings yet I don't have a mic but I want to know if I should get it but lets assume I did and the video wasn't screen recorded its the video that I recorded with the drone. its the original recording and not the cached video

Hi there. Thank you for your response. DJI Fly does not support audio recording when recording original or cached videos. Therefore, all cached and original videos recorded will be silent regardless of whether a DJI Mic series product is connected. The remote controllers with screens can only use DJI Mic series products for audio recording during screen recording or a livestream. Thank you.
