please explain, I read on several forums that having Integra goggles for Avata 1 I don't have to have the goggles connected to the smartphone all the time, only at the beginning to download the necessary data and to report the flight and that Integra goggles have remote identification turned on and nothing needs to be connected to the smartphone, is it true, when I was flying and disconnected the phone during the flight the text "remote ID error" was displayed, so what is it with this cable? thank you for the information

Hi there! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Regarding of your inquiry, The DJI Integra Goggles still need to be connected to the smartphone during flight to function properly. If you received a "remote ID error" message while flying after disconnecting your phone, it indicates that the goggles may still require a connection to the smartphone to maintain the remote identification feature during flight. Thank you, and we wish you a safe flight!

ok I understand, but remote id is a kind of license plate, a signal that I share, my location, serial number, etc. it does not affect the flight, the flight parameters, the behavior of the drone in the air, it simply becomes more invisible, and that's it, I have looked through many internet forums and the text keeps scrolling that a cable is not needed to fly, only at the beginning to download everything and you can take off without a cable connected, in addition many people write that the integral goggles do not need a cable at all because they download all the data themselves. Even in several videos on YT they show pilots that after disconnecting the drone behaves normally, everything is fine except that the remote id error is displayed, I will add that I live in Europe, in Poland.

You need a phone connected to send the location of the pilot via remote id throughout the flight,    if you didnt have a phone connected then you could move from the take off point and the drone is broadcasting the wrong location.    If you update to newer goggled like Goggles 3 they have GPS built in.

DJI Natalia....

Is the Remote ID functionality different depending on the user's location. The main reason I purchased the DJI Goggles Integra was so I didn't have to connect a phone and external battery. Even in a post HERE, DJI Paladin states there is no need to connect the Goggles Integra to a smartphone.

I never connect my Goggles Integra to the DJI Fly app/mobile phone and never receive a Remote ID error.  My Goggles Integra always says that the Remote ID is functioning normal in the status section of the goggles. I fly the original DJI Avata, the DJI FPV and multiple DJI O3 Air Units. I am in the United States.

I'm not sure if Remote ID is different in Europe. In the United States, we don't have to connect the Goggles Integra or the Goggles 3 for Remote ID functionality. If it is different, I think that is where the confusion is.

DJI Goggles series are not equipped with GPS module so they do not support Remote ID function as remote controllers do. To make them work with consumer drones that support Remote ID, a mobile phone needs to be connected to the goggles before take off. You will need to re-connect phone to goggles to ensure legality throughout the flight.

Before flying in the current area, you are advised to connect your mobile phone until taking off and ensure that GPS signal is normal. Also make sure the below steps have been done:

1. Please make sure drone and goggles firmware version are the latest versions by referring to the Release Notes.
2. Please make sure the app version has been updated to the latest from the official website.
3. Ensure the location permission has been enabled for the mobile device and the DJI Fly app. It should allow the DJI Fly to obtain the location information and also needs to ensure that the DJI Fly app runs in the foreground.

If the issue persists, please provide the information below for further investigation:

1. Screenshot of drone and goggles firmware version
2. Screenshot of DJI FLY App version on mobile phone
3. Screenshot showing GPS permission is enabled, and allowed for DJI Fly app
4. Screen recording showing how you connect the mobile phone to goggles, and how you got this error
5. DJI Fly app log
6. Goggles log

I will ask this AGAIN.

Why does DJI Paladin state that the DJI Goggles Integra DO have GPS and a cell phone is not required to be connected for Remote ID.

He states it in this post: https://forum.dji.com/forum.php? ... 610&pid=3104590
