Is there any possibility how to activate Home Lock without using DJI Go? How to activate Home Lock If the app crashs and can not be restarded?

Home Lock is part of the GO Program. I don't think you can do what you want to. I think the question is? If the App crashes will the fail safe kick in? I think it will due to the fact that the GPS is in the Phantom and the home point is stored in it's memory.

There are ways to change the usage of the buttons in the bottom of the controller. I didn't check but see if what you need is there as option.

I know the possibility to assing a function  to the buttons C1/C2. But I think it works only when the DJI Go runs. I saw a Phantom 2 RC and it has switch NONE/HL/CL it is very good, because I think it works also w/o the app. Personaly I prefer to use in an emergency situation the HL then RTH .

No.  The app can be shut down, as can the phone, and you can still fly normally.  If the remote dies (or is turned off, or loses control signal), the P3 will RTH at the minimum altitude you entered for RTH unless you're already higher than that.  If you are at 400 feet and you have set 100 as the return altitude, it will stay at 400 feet and return to directly overhead home and then descend and land.

I do not mean the situation when RC is switched off. I mean the situation when the app crashes or the phone/tablet is suddenly unpluged from RC. It means the RC is all the time ON. Any chance how to activate HL?

Press and hold RTH button on the lower right hand controller. Also, look at the LED on the charge indicator and see if it is green. If so, the remote tx still has lock. If it's red, the remote has lost comms and will return home automatically, if you are close to it withing 30 meters of so (if I remember correctly) it will just land in place. Set your RTH height accordingly cause you never know when a signal loss could happen!

I think you do not undarstand me. I do not mean RTH (Return To Home) which has hardware button on the remote control. I mean HL (Home Lock), the HL only change mode of the right stick, when you move backvard than the bird moves backvard and etc.

I have checked as much as i could. it cannot be designated to the two aux switches under the RC. I do not think it is possible. You need the app to induce Home Lock.
