New Lightbridge 2

Hi I'm having problems setting this up, no video feed to my iPad and the motors won't turn on. Solid red light on LB2 unit. (no video feed)
Any ideas please?

Let you know DJI spoke to someone else in the UK yesterday how has a Lightbridge 2 and he is having exactly the same problems as me

Is the video in the support range?
AV PAL25, NTSC30
HDMI: 720p50, 720p60, 1080i50, 1080i60, 1080p25, 1080p30, 1080p50, 1080p60

DJI see these 2 photos...  LB2 instructions say to plug CAN BUS plug into the A2 CAN2 slot but if you look at the plug on the left, it is different than the actual type plug that goes into the A2 CAN2 slot.  It is impossible to put this plug in to the CAN2 slot on the A2 controller.  Photo is of 2 types of plugs.  Plug on the right will fit A2 CAN2  Photo on left is what your instructions say to put into A2 CAN2 slot.  Impossible to fit.  [img]https://forum33.djicdn.com/data/attachment/forum/ [/img]

Yes it is in that support range, when I connect the camera into the HDMi in on the Lightbrdge 2 it works fine, when connected through the gimbel it won't work. Does the support range make a difference if it is connected different ie HDMi in or through the gimbel???????

If you used a HD gimbal, please try an Android phone, set the "Output Mode" to EXT, and change bandwidth allocation to make sure EXT owns more bandwidth
Besides, make sure you download the latest android DJI GO APP

Thanks for your kind remind,  the plug of CAN HUB has this clip, and we take this photo to remind customer connect the CAN HUB to the CAN 2 of A2, not mean connect it directly to the CAN 2, usually the PMU is connected to CAN2 of A2 without clip, and it is suggested you connect the CAN HUB to PMU, here you can have a look at the installation video

I have been trying to get my Lightbridge 2 to work for 5 days now have been talking to DJI Support all that time with no luck.
Have today found out the problem.

It is that it wiil not work in the ISO App it works find with Android.
You get no video feed in the iSO Go App

Come on DJI please sort this out???

iPad Air 2

everything on latest firmware. No video feed, gimbal displays solid yellow on HD-AV board LED when camera is turned on. Havent tried android as I dont have one.

To clarify DJI-Cathy, does iOS work currently, or no? I am doing a lot of troubleshooting that may be pointless if the answer is no.

I think you‘d better find an Android phone, set the "Output Mode" to PIP_EXT, and change bandwidth allocation to make sure EXT owns more bandwidth. We are trying to fix the IOS APP now.

I have been doing a lot of trouble shooting myself and at the moment it will only work on an Android device.

Hey can you provide a short description or ideally video of how you assigned all of the A2 functionality to the controller/app...this is my biggest gap in understanding of how LB2 will perform for a full A2 setup.

In particular how do you operate:
- IOC options
- gear
- gimbal mode
- gains adjust
- gimbal pan
- return to home
- iOSD camera change (two cameras)
What is your perception of feasibility of using some of this functionality through the app while flying the copter (app icons vs switches)

I think the problem is this little red light on the LB2 air system.  It is marked VIDEO.  Is it supposed to be green or red?      Kathy I wish you could make video for hooking up Zenmuse Z15 5D3.  These users paid just as much money as the GH4 users.  I mean really, how much does it take to make a Youtube video ??   There are obviously MANY people that can not get their systems to work.   We put FAITH in DJI ...How about some solutions??????

Hi, Adam, look at above video, you can map channel 5 for gear, channel 6 for go home, to control the mode  and pan of your gimbal, please try an Android phone, about the other function, we are working on the IOS APP now,  please keep an eye on our DJI official website

The red solid is correct,  because HD gimbal has its own encoding system, therefore it does not rely on air system for encoding. pls judge your gimbal according to the led of HD gimbal

If you owns a 5D HD, the connection is the same as GH4, like below

But can the pan be controlled through a switch or dial on the radio like it can without LB2?

I really need an HD downlink but am so afraid of losing functionality with the LB2.  I really wish DJI would have provided a full demonstration video instead of customers having to post question after question trying to pry pieces of info out regarding LB2

It flies, just been hovering it seem okay just a little unstable in GPS mode took off in Atty mode

Yes my 5D3 Z15 is hooked up this way. There is a big red NO SIGNAL on both Android and IPAD.  LB 1 was working correct when I used it last about 6 days ago.  I have no answers.  Canon 5D3 was and is working without issue.  

ok, so i wrestled with this for about 9 hours today. here's my setup:

s900
gh4-hd gimbal
runcam fpv cam
lightbridge 2 with another slave controller
ipad air 2's with newest djigo app (also tested the android app fix with the bandwidth slider)

after updating the firmware on EVERYTHING, all i can get is the sd video feed from the fpv cam. no control, no telemetry, no gimbal control, no hd video. all connections are exactly the same as the video tutorial by dji.

in the a2 assistant when i try to map my channels, the only ones that move are AETRU. can't map anything for any of the other functions.

i'm totally stuck on what to try.

DJI.....  PLEASE FIX MY LIGHTBRIDGE 2 setup with Canon 5D3......   It is not working and set up according to your instructions.  No worky.

I hope you find the 3 videos useful.

They are not mine.

There is an error in the manual, regarding the Air unit's video indicator LED.

In the manual it lists a solid red indicator as meaning no supported video source is detected. As we know, the LED will actually remain red if using an HD gimbal as video source.
The manual should be revised to prevent confusion, especially when troubleshooting.

I know its hard to get them to revise the manuals, but just pointing it out.

Hey Arrow1969. I see further up this thread you were having both video issues and motor issues. Thanks to your commentary I was able to correct my video issues. I just had the copter outside to test fly it, and the motors won't start up. You said you had yours flying, how did you do it? I'm in Mode 2, so bringing the Control Sticks down and to the center "should" start the motors. When that didn't work, I tried down and out, that didn't work either.

Discovered the throttle was reversed once I had corrected this it started normally

Hi all,

Have been doing some flight tests 4 in total up to now, discovered that the video feed is very unstable om a iSO and very stable on the Android was losing the link about 50% of the time.
