Osmo Mobile 7P Multi-Functional Module will not Connect to Iphone

I have an Iphone 13 Pro Max.

I purchased the Osmo Mobile 7P with the Mic Mini Transmitter bundle.
I had to go out and buy a USB-C to Lightning cable, as the bundle only came with USB-C to USB-C. (I am assuming this is the root of the issue I am about to describe).

The Mini Mic Transmitter connects fine to the multifunctional module, but the module will not connect to the phone.
(The transmitter led is solid green after pairing to the module, but the module continues to flash green. When I click the power button on the transmitter, the light on the module turns an off-green color but continues to flash. When I click it again, the light on the module returns to a normal green, but continues to flash. So I know the two are connected.)

I was able to get the Mic Transmitter to connect directly to my phone with bluetooth, but the quality is awful, crakling and muffled. I read on the forum that this is due to compression with bluetooth, so you need to use the module/reciever instead of the direct connection.

I have been troubleshooting for over 6 hours over the last 2 days.

I have verified the cable works, as I connected my phone to my computer with the cable.

I have updated the firmware suggested on the Mimo App and my Iphone is up to date.



I deleted the Mimo app and reinstalled.

I restarted my phone, and the gimbal.

I have ensured all permissions are shared with the mimo app.

Nothing seems to be working and my frustration has reached a peak.

Any suggestions before I return the whole setup?

Same problem with Osmo 7P, mini mic tx and iPhone 14 Pro Max. I feel like I wasted money buying the dji Mic and no solution available.

1. Please ensure that the mobile phone’s Bluetooth is enabled.

2. Check if all permissions in the DJI Mimo app are fully enabled. For Android devices, please note that the position information/GPS permissions must be enabled for the app to function properly.

*Due to Android system restrictions, the Bluetooth search function on the DJI Mimo homepage and device connection page will only work when the position information/GPS permissions are enabled.

3. Verify that the app is the latest version. If it’s not, please update it to the latest version.

4. Go to the mobile phone’s Settings - Bluetooth List and remove any Bluetooth connection records.

5. Kindly reset the gimbal’s Bluetooth:
-For DJI OM 5/Osmo Mobile 6/Osmo Mobile SE/Osmo Mobile 7P/Osmo Mobile 7: Press the Switch Button, Shutter/Record Button, and Trigger simultaneously to reset the Bluetooth connection.

6. Perform a hard restart of your mobile phone.

7. If the issue persists, you may want to try using another mobile phone (iOS ↔ Android) to see if that resolves the issue.

The module/gimbal is charging my phone, the connection indicator light on the module responds to turning the noise  cancellation on/off on the transmitter. I’ve tried 2 different cables, including the one that came with my drone, and connects the same phone to the controller without any issues. iPhone 14. Thanks for any help!

5. I’ve tried several orders of operation but the cable is connected, the app is launched, the TX connects. It lets me adjust the noise cancellation strength but continues to blink and doesn’t pass audio to the recorded file.
