I don't know why it's so tricky to do this.
I'm using the usb-C which came with the product,
but it continually gets disconected and reconecded, so when im trying to transfer files, there's a 60% chance it will not finish before it disconnects.

What should I do?

are you using a type-c to type-c cable
or a usb-a to type-c cable?

it should be fine, you can try using another cable
if there are many files, try to copy half of them first

Traveling in Africa so it's not the easiest things to find.

Hi. Problem solved using a different USB-c to USB-c.  using a cable that came with my portable hard-drive so it's meant for data transfer.
