Hi,
I recently purchased DJI Goggles 3 and activated them via the DJI Fly app. I’d like to use them occasionally with my Mini 4 Pro and Motion Controller 3.
When I bind the goggles to the Mini 4 Pro, I get a message saying:
"You have 5 flights left – device is not bound. Use device (serial number of my RC2 bound to Mini 4 Pro) or unbind it."
My Mini 4 Pro is currently bound to the RC 2 controller.
I have a few questions:
  • Can I have both the RC 2 controller and the Goggles 3 bound to the drone?
  • If not, do I need to unbind and rebind them every time I switch between them?
  • How can I properly unbind the remote controller from my DJI account?
All my devices were purchased new from an authorized dealer. The goggles were bought directly from the DJI Store.
Thanks,
Alexander

Hi Alexander, just to clarify if you have already log in to your DJI Fly app in your remote controller or it is bound to another account?
Yes, you need to unbind the old controller and bind the new one when switching controllers on your DJI Mini 4 Pro, as a drone can only be bound to one remote controller at a time. Looking forward to your reply. Thank you

Hi, thanks a lot. If you mean RC2: I have a Mini 4 Pro in my DJI Fly app account, and the RC2 is bound to it. I bought the kit from an authorized dealer and registered it at the same time.

You mentioned that I need to unbind the old controller and bind the new one when switching controllers, as the drone can only be bound to one remote controller at a time. However, I don’t see an option to unbind the controller—only an option to unbind the drone.

Can I unbind the drone together with the controller and then bind only the drone? What will happen in this case? Will I be able to connect either the RC2 or the Goggles to the drone at my choice for flights, without binding them to the drone in DJI Fly?

Hi there, to bind/unbind the remote controller, go to Profile>Device Management>Value-Added-Service>Bind/Unbind RC. You may switch the controllers by following the path. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our online service, you could also visit : https://www.dji.com/support?site=brandsite&from=nav.

How to Unbind a Device

Thank you. Am I right in understanding that this procedure unbine drone and googles together? How can I then return the drone to an account without RC2?

Hi there, yes you may unbind the aircraft and the goggles from the RC 2. The DJI Fly app is in the RC, in order to unbind the devices you will need to use remote controller.
