Just wondered if anybody's tried taking off with the charger connected to the Drone would it charge on a power lead

Usually you'll get a message that it's connected to USB and it wont start the props.

Hi, yes, that’s what I was enquiring. I was going to build a little Lipo pack to add plugged in to give me extra time

Really a shame I might have to dismantle two batteries and put them together as one

Hi there, thank you for confirming. Unfortunately, it is not possible as the motors cannot start its motors while it is charging. Also, We do not recommend using this process of charging the battery of any of DJI Drones since this process might cause some serious problems on the battery cells. For your safety, I will highly recommend you to cool down first the battery before charging it.

It’s only two cell pack 7.4v you could parallel 2 packs together, no problem double capacity

People that do that sort of thing modify a battery for it.

Definitely what I might do is have an extra wire coming out of original battery that can attach a secondary pack in parallel
