DJI Avata 2 had crashed on me, dropped from the air or lost control, 3 times in a row while flying manual.

Nor was I flying too aggressive for the 'Death Roll", the "Yaw Tumble" effect to happen and crash the Avata 2 into the ground.

I cannot trust flying the drone after this, that is, I cannot trust flying Avata 2 in Manual mode anymore.

Avata 2 is not air-worthy to be flown in Manual mode at all.

The same goes for DJI Neo, where it losses control and spins into crashing.

Is there a' recall' for this model, a 'firmware update', or a 'frame modification kit' to resolve this malfunction with Avata 2?

Thank you

Hi there, we are sorry to hear about what happened with the drone. In a situation like this, the best course of action would be to submit an online repair request here: [https://www.dji.com/es/support/repair]. This will allow our certified technicians to fully inspect the aircraft. Please rest assured that this will be taken care of and handled accordingly.
If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact our support team. We are always happy to help you!

Thank you @" DJI Natalia ", I will make use of the service that you did suggest.

However the fundamental issue still resides with the design of Avata 2 regardless if I did contact customer service for repairs.

There are many videos, as you are aware, that demonstrate the infamous Avata 2 "Death Roll".

Yet having to experience this "Death Roll" every time I fly my Avata 2 manually and crash the drone is absurd. I cannot fly Avata 2 with peace in mind. It is like having a broken toy that I know I might get some time out of it before it freaks out completly at the first round. I do not see Avata 2 as a drone I can trust flying manually, like I have to pretend mentally there is no option to fly this FPV drone in manual mode.

Otherwise, Avata 2 is a very great drone that I enjoy every aspect of it via the RC Motion.

The Avata 2 is a flawed drone in its design. One expects some action from DJI to correct this issue, like a recall of the product; or better, a recall of the product to replace the drone with a better designed Avata 2.

I went ahead and purchased another drone, the frame type drone, and invested in another video system FPV (analogue) thus I can fly 'manually' without fear of sudden losing control of the UAV due to bad engineering of the vehicle.

This  decision was inspired by the continuous failure that Avata 2 is demonstrating as a flying machine. I think I won't invest much in DJI drones from now on, in regard of any coming drone that is able to fly manually via FPV (Avata 3 may be?).

I did not expect this from DJI, a seriously flawed drone that is marketed as a fully functioning drone.

Thank you

To fly in manual a traditional FPV quad is thousand of times better than any DJI drone

Thank you for your confirmation on this. Indeed, I ordered a traditional FPV quad, frame X drone, thus I can fly the drone in manual mode without 'dropping' from the sky unexpectedly as I do experience with Avata 2.

Yeah. I am more fan for the deadcats tahn true-x, but if you want to do freestyle the true-x performs better.
