Hi there!

I bought a Power 1000 recently, mainly to use it as an UPS for my computers and devices. I updated the firmware, installed the dongle to use the app, and everything appeared to be OK, but as soon as I pluged my equipment and activated the UPS mode, then fan started working and never stopped (a few days passed). The average power needed is about 300W, sometimes 500W, so far. It's not a very loud sound but I expected something quieter for my office, and its supossed low level noise was the thing that made me choose the DJI option.

Anyone else is experiencing the same? is there anything that can be configured to avoid the fan working 100% of the time?

Many thanks!

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. When you turn on the DJI Power in UPS mode, you can clearly hear the fan noise increase, which is normal. To ensure the system's long-term stability, the fan speed will increase to enhance cooling. The fan noise is very low and can only be clearly heard in a quiet environment. However, if you are experiencing something different, please send us a video for review. Looking forward to your response!

Hi! Thank you for your message. As I said before, the noise is not too annoying, but I'd had preferred a fan with a dynamic speed, depending on, for example, the total amount of power used, the actual internal temperature, let's say, with some sort of algorithm, but in my case, it's working 100% of the time (with an average output power always below 300W). Maybe this idea could be sent to the DJI engineers for future firmware updates.

I've taken some noise measurements, and the average is 44,6 db at 30 cm of distance, and 50 db putting the sound meter resting just above the DJI Power 1000. Not sure if these values are inside the standard noise range of the DJI Power 1000.

Best regards.
