Hi, I recently bought a mini 4K (fly more como) a few weeks ago.
When I received it I downloaded DJI fly 1.16.0 android version (with a lot of difficulty).

Since then it's been working fine.

Yesterday when flying I received a message that there was an update to 1.16.4 but it won't install.
I've tried a number of times from within the existing DJI Fly app, and trying to download 1.16.4 from the download centre.

I just get a message "staging app" and do I wish to update to the latest version (yes), but all that happens is I get a message that the app failed to install.

What can I do?

Many thanks for your reply DJI Gamora.
Please see the screenshots, hopefully they are in order. (EDIT, the screenshots orders have now reversed, so I have updated the references, now  4,3,2 1).

Every time I start DJI fly I get the 4th screenshot (new version available),I click Update.
Then the 3rd screen appears (staging app), followed by the 2nd, (do you want to install.....)I click INSTALL.
Finally the 1st screen appears, saying App not installed.

I've tried numerous times, the same thing happens every time, whether the controller and drone are connected or not.

I tried again this morning after shutting down and restarting my tablet.
This time I tried it with the pad connected to the controller RC-N1C and both the controller and drone switched on.
The sequence was the same apart from a new message that can up after clicking "Install" following the "staging app" message.
This new message is shown below, which seemed to indicate that the app was installing, (see below).
The installing bar got about 75% and then the cancel button greyed out.
Then the final message came up again "app not installed" (as before).

So still no luck.

DJI Gamora,
Thank you once again for your reply.
It was (2) internal storage that was the problem. I only had around 2.5GB of free space (which should have been enough). I managed to clear some space by removing a few unused apps and no longer required photos and documents such that I had 5GB free.

It then installed OK.
What surprised me is that DJI Fly was by far the biggest memory hog at around 4GB.
After the update it is using 3.98GB.

Many thanks.

Following a now successful update of DJI Fly from 1.16.0 to 1.16.4, I can confirm that everything seems to be working fine.
The update adds extra functionality to the on-screen RTH icon (middle left of screen) to allow faster access to update RTH. This enables quick and easy access to set the RTH position to the current controller position, which is a great addition when on the move. Previously you had to go through the menus to do it.
Of course it would have been even better if there was an option to use a dynamic return to controller, but nevertheless it's a big improvement.

Thank you to the update team
