I would like to do some road cycling ASMR video (so only sounds, no talking). I have Osmo Action 5 Pro and DJI Mic 1st gen.

I was wondering, since i've never done this before, what would be the best settings for picking up sounds of the nature, traffic, road, bicycle, panting while climbing, etc in terms of gain, noise reduction, positioning of the mics (stereo sound)? Also, do i keep the dead cats on? I would prefer clean sounds with as little wind noise as possible.

A separate sound recorder. Even a basic Zoom H1n would be way better on every parameter. Then synch (if you need to) when editing. You really need a true stereo pickup pattern from either an X/Y pair of mics (as fitted to the H1n) or a spaced omni stereo pair (external). The 'Clippy' mics are outstanding for this. Wireless mics are the wrong tool for the job.

Hi there, you may adjust the transmitter and receiver gain settings (When the gain is reduced to an appropriate level, the background noise will be decreased. However, this also lowers the volume. It is recommended that you adjusts the gain based on the device volume). Enable the “Low Cut” function (Sounds that are 150 Hz or lower will be filtered out if Low Cut is enabled). If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our online service, you could also visit : https://www.dji.com/support?site=brandsite&from=nav.
