but they still have some P3A and P3P with the old motors in stock and they still selling it as well. so it's based on your luck to get the new or the old model . I don't think it's a smart decision DJI made, they should create a new minor release and it's up to us to choose which one to get. ( of course the new release should be priced higher a bit )

I will tell u a nice trick to know if it has the new motors or not without opening the package.

For P3A: Old motors, on the side the box will have a sticker with 'W322' number on it.
For P3A: new motors, on the side the box will have a sticker with 'W322A' number on it... the only difference is the letter 'A' after 'W322'

I heard B&H is really a great place with nice customer service.

I believe the new change is not just the motor, it's also the shell. not sure tho.

Yeh a lot if resellars I've asked had no clue about p3 shipping with a newer motor.

Most dDealers don't seem to know a thing about it, unless they actually work on them.  I'm my local dealer's source of info on this sort of stuff, or most anything I collect from this forum.
