Tim could you take a look at all of the posts regarding controllers that have been affected by the recent 2.4 Go app?  The app will not upgrade the controllers for my Inspire or Phantoms.  The upgrade starts and after a couple of mins. reverts to a Disconnet / No Signal.  The Inspire controller locked on a blue light and will not do anything. I only have the one...no slave.  Everything was fine on all of my equipment until the 2.4 upgrade.  Thanks.

you should roll back to 2.3.

I wish i could. I never had it so I'm unable to do that. I only have 2.4 and haven't been able to fly my copter.

Any idea how to roll back to 2.3 ? Its the one and only solution but can't get it anywhere. I will appreciate it if someone has a solution on this roll back...

I have no way of getting back to 2.3.  And now with my RC stuck with a blue light I may be facing the dreaded "send it to DJI" scenario.

Is this typical of DJI tech support?  I'm astonished at the lack of support.  It would seem a relatively simple approach would be to roll back the GoAp to 2.3.  I'm in the same boat as a lot of people - I never had a copy of 2.3 on my PC so I can't roll back.

GQ - I'm unable to get any of the suggestions to work.  I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling GoAp, rebooting ipad, the controller button combo, manual controller update using a USB micro card reader with 1.3 on it plugged directly into the remote.  Nothing.    The furthest I get is the GoAp telling me that it failed to upgrade  and to try again.

Try and tray again until it works.
Make sure you are connected to your DJI account and Wi Fi connected.Your iPad is updated ? To the last version 9.1 ?

I'm having the same issue here! I've tried to contact DJI support so many times its unreal.. Like all the replies are generated by a robot to reply a certain answer to certain key words. I just want to talk to someone on the phone.

I also am on all the latest IOS, 152 MB WI-FI and its just not happening.

I spoke to a dealer today and he told me to Downgrade the AC but i get the same message over and over on the txt file afterwards.

"Result: Success.

The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the aircraft.

I just received my Phantom 3 Pro today and I followed these steps (I do not know what version the bird was at, but the controller was at 1.3.2)

Charge Battery for P3
Take SD Card out of P3
Put .BIN file for 1.4 on SD card (I did not format it, just left it as DJI had it)
Placed fully charged battery in P3 after inserting the SD card and powered on (plugged the controller in at this point)
Listened to the incessant beeping for 19 minutes
After D-DD tones started happening, verified green light solid on the gimbel, powered off bird and took the SD card out
Verified the SD card had a file with success in it, deleted the .txt file and the .bin from the sd card

Once controller was mostly charged:
Mounted my iPhone 6s with 9.1 and download the DJI Go app 2.40
Plugged everything up, powered on DJI controller, downloaded firmware update and applied.

Everything synced, took the bird out for 2 flights and I had no issues at all.

I did download 2.3 from the dropbox link if someone needs it.

any luck? I'm having the same issues as you. Its crazy that a company that is so well known for their product and charges this much can be so incredibly awful on the backend. Ive tried to email and call and get ZERO answer from them.

1-Make sure you have the new firmware in your bird.
2- Make sure you have a good Wi Fi connection for the RC update.
3- Make sure you download and reboot your iPad before following procedures every time you update.

Good News!  After still not getting an RMA number from Customer Service and very poor support, I was able to fix my RC on my own tonight.  
I figured i would try one more thing and borrowed and Android phone from a coworker.  I used it to download the DJI GO app and complete the firmware update.  First thing i noticed is that the android version of the app showed that i was already running the latest version vs the apple app showed it as unknown.  Since the RC was still not responsive, i started the firmware upgrade again from the Android the device.  This time the progress bar started moving and actually completed.  I now have a Green light on the RC.  Tonight i was able to do my first test drive and i did this with the apple device.

Good Luck to everyone else.  Hopefully you can access an Android device or maybe a new app will get released for apple.

Folks

V1.4 on the DJI site does not include the controller firmware update, it will only update the P3 Craft.

Upgrade the controller to V1.3.20 via USB Pen Drive or via attaching to gimbal.

Then ALL further firmware updates are via the DJI GO App, V1,4 on the DJI site will not upgrade your controller you must update via the DJI GO App.

If your having trouble instilling the V1.4FW via the DJI go app on the controller try the last app version V2.3.0  if you can.

Upgrade the craft to the Latest via the FW on the DJI downloads page.

Upgrade the controller to V1.3.20 via that download on the downloads page then update to V1.4 via the DJI go app.

Your device needs an internet connection available.

That did it for me too!  I just borrowed an android to complete the RC firmware upgrade and that fixed everything!  Take notice DJI - there is a bug in the 2.4 iOS Go App.  If you are using iOS, you must upgrade the RC firmware to 1.4 prior to updating the Go App from 2.3 to 2.4.

Worked for me too!!!! after all these days trying to figure it out, this solution using using an Android is very simple.

Actually, a very fellow from DJI Support on Facebook gave me the idea, don't know his name but many thanks!! Hope everybody will get out of the mud soon...

Dear wrs heli, you've been very helpful and spent a long time helping people about this issue. Many thanks!! I fixed the issue borrowing an Android and finishing the firmware update with the Android and then switching back to my IPhone with DJI Go 2.4.0 on it. Had to relink the aircraft afterwards.  Everything is OK now

Using an iPad Air 2. Upgraded the iOS to 9.1. Hooked up the pad to the remote and activated DJI GO. Tapped on status bar and upgrade to Inspire 1 remote went without a hitch. Short distance test flight NORMAL.  If anyone needs to go back to 2.3, here is my Dropbox above. #235

Use an Android to update the RC and then use your regular Apple device. You need to reset the RC first by using the 4 buttons mentioned in other posts and then connect the Android.

So its clear its the DJI GO v2.4 app is the problem if everyone is successful in updating via Android. What gives DJI?????

Antonio.talaric: do it the Android way, I tried to do insert the Apple version in all kinds of ways and wasn't able to do it. Android worked in 5 minutes.
