Hi,

just bought a (5 months old with ~5hrs flight on it)  pro3 from the widow of a deceased aquaintancee last week and experienced the very same problems as described above, but aditionally have the problem, that the 2.40 app on neither of my iphones/ipads even seems to find the rc at all. All i get is the startscreen with that "howto"-link, but no "cameraview"-button on all my IOS devices (all on 9.1).

I've tried on my S4 mini (didn't work either) and then in a final attempt on my old S3, where at least i was able to enter the cameraview. I was prompted to ugrade the controller, which according to the manual indeed should have been successful, but left me with a nonresponsive connection on the S3 as well (can still enter cameraview, but says "disconnected" now).

So now I have half a dozen mobiles/tablets including a brandnew Ipad mini 2, which I bought yesterday for no other purpose than for the P3, and still can't fly.  RC and bird obviously are still paired, I can start engines and probably could start flying without video, but then that's not what I bought it for. THAT I did with my old P1 for two years....

What now? I have no 2.30 app for either IOS nor Android, the rc seems to do nothing when trying to downgrade to 1.03.020 nor upgrade to 1.04.030 via USB, the bird seem to have accepted 1.04.0010, although I'm not sure as the messages in the txt are somewhat irritating. (see below, which is just the last few lines of the *.txt)

So this is it. :-/ Stuck with a nonresponding rc which I could probably still fly the same way as I did my phantom I for years, but don't not dare yet, as I'm unable to calibrate the compass or anything else. Dammit :-(

Thanks Dave, I am already on V2.3 so I will back it up just in case before I update, thats a big help. What about updating as yet to IOS 9? and how can I roll back to the previous RC version? Please see my previous post. Can you shed any light on my problem?

All updates working 100 percent. Yeah

I updated the RC using DJI GO app - seemed to go well - not been out yet to see how differently the P3p handles though ;)

If I were you I would wait on ios9 if you can.

You can downgrade your RC and Aircraft firmware by going to the DJI website and downloading the older firmware, the previous version. Then just install that firmware as you would if it were new firmware. Follow the directions in the pdf document with the instructions for updating firmware.

If you have done all the trouble shooting suggestions I have outlined in this thread then I am not sure what else it could be. You might need to send it in. Sorry.

Hi Dave,
I am not sure I follow you. The RC and The aircraft have the latest firmware according to the app. I updated the RC firmware via the app and it also updated the aircraft which I didn't want. I now want to downgrade the firmware in the aircraft to the previous version which was problem free. This previous version is still on sd card in the aircraft so how can I do this, surely i need to remove the latest version of the aircraft and the RC firmware and the put the sd card back in?

Try taking off the firmware on the sd card reinstall the old firmware on the sd card. then put the sd card back in and see if it starts to update.

You can get the older firmware from the download page on the DJI website.

Funny thing, im on a safe side, i dont go balls to the wall, so i flew short distance for like a month,then update,and finally felt comfortable, btw im comparing it with my stock vision,which did 3200 on a stock remote,and it didnt stop there,i just didn't want to go farther

ow i wonder if it was update or its just the distance of a new p3s

Im seriously thinking to return it the way it all going
