WOW Raptor.  Your really found a lot of small tweaks that could give you serious improvement. Based on most of them you must have had a serious crash in the past.

Thanks...actually, I am being preemptive based on all the forum posts.    Hope I never need 90% of these tweaks, but in case something goes amiss, at least there is SOMETHING to try and soften the blow

Great looking rigs in this thread!!!

I'm curious if any of the wraps/skins are worth the money?  Or is painting yourself the better option?

Well not to jinx you I lost my old P3V+ in the Pacific ocean.  Never recovered it (not that it would matter with salt water),  any of those tweaks help that?

I plan on flying in a few areas without cell service and off a cliff where if my bird were to have problems location would be a real problem in the heavy forest below…so… I have a Marco Polo on the way. May I ask how you attached yours?

Good choice, Butch!   (Hope you really don't need to use it! )

I actually bought the 3M picture hanging Command strips that can handle up to 12lbs (bought at Walmart).  I like these ones b/c they are NOT velcro, they are actually plastic connectors that hold tight even when there is vibration.

To make it more 'aesthetically appealing' I put a white strip on the phantom 3 and a black one on the marco polo.

Technically you don't have to worry about the few grams of paint sprayed on. Your Phantom won't notice the difference... even if it's 4 coats. Rememer, much of that cans weight is in the solvent the solids of the colour are suspended in. Once you spray it, and the solvents flash off during drying, there's not much weight on each coat.
