The only object detection is with your eyes.  It only does what you tell it.  If you have it in GPS mode, it will stabilize itself, but that is all.

WOW  what a question........   errrr,   think you had better research your products better before purchasing in the future......   there's a lot more choice coming very soon,  but in short the answer is NO avoidance on the vision+ (apart from avoiding you in the case of flyaway if not setup and used correctly)

+1 for mixstreme.   Read about stuff before you get it.  Especially when it's this expensive.  To be able to spend gobs of money on stuff you don't know what it does.... What is that like????

Yes, it doesn't have object detection.
But in theory it could be done by software. While you have GPS, it wouldn't be so difficult to have a customized zone for flying. Assume you go on a map and mark a perimeter to allow flying and then export that data to Phantom.
Sebastian is asking if Phantom could avoid objects based on GPS position and info from a map. That would be way more difficult to implement but not completely impossible.
The better solution is a drone equipped with a detection system based on ultrasound sensors. I wonder if Inspire will have some object detection.
Meanwhile PV+ is blind, and that could be quite a problem for "autonomous" flight mode (e.g. return home)

We have object detection device in Inspire 1, which will detect the distance and movement to the vertical downward.
For the surround and top objects' detection, it may be designed in the future. Just like the smart car at present.

That only works to about 6 feet, after that it's just GPS location that will take over.
