Hello All,
I just installed the new HDMI output board on my P3P controller.  I have Fatshark Dominator V3 Goggles on order (back order   )   To test in the meantime, I connected to my computer monitor HDMI in and got a video signal however, the slightest movement of the controller while connected to the HDMI cable and I lose video.  It seems like a loose HDMI port connection.  I don't have another HDMI mini cable to test with but was wondering if anyone has had similar issues?   The cable itself seats tiightly into the controller port yet requires slight downward presure on the cable to maintain signal.

thanks in advance for any thoughts!!

Could be the connector on the cable or a solder joint on the pc board or the connector itself on the pc board. Use a magnifying glass to check for cracks where the solder joint is at the connector. All solder joints should look shinny with no cracks. May want to return device for replacement.

Bahamas,

I'd definitely get another cable to check that before I did any further troubleshooting. I'd try to rule out the most obvious culprit first. Based on your description, it sounds like you're putting pressure on the port on the controller not the monitor. If that's the case and you have the same problem with a new (good quality) cable, I'd probably guess that the port on the controller is bad and I wouldn't try to screw around with it. I'd get an RMA and replacement going.

Hope all is well in the OC! Let me know what you think of the Google when you get everything sorted!

Tks Jerry,
My thoughts are the same... try another cable.   Gonna have to pick one up later this week then test on the monitor.  You are correct, I'm talking about the port on the controller.    I don't want to wail til the goggles arrive to find out that it was the port all along.  I'll keep you posted!
