I´ve bought the Osmo and after a while playing with it i´ve noticed that the camera was heating alot and that the fan wasn´t spining.
At first i thought that it only start spining after a while, but it never did, to the point that the heat was unbearable to the touch.
Before i posted this thread i did search for this problem in the forum but the only issues that i have found were regarding the fan noise and the fact that it wouldn´t stop. Well, i have exactly the other problem, mine doesn´t start.

Mine was the same. I flicked the camera, and the fan now is functioning normally.

Classicalle, when you mean "flicked the camera", are you saying turn the dji upside down???

I mean I flicked the camera with my finger, basically tapped on it.

I did the flick method and it worked, I'm glad to see that dji is testing there products before they leave the factory. I would love to read the memo about flicking the camera before shipping.

Perhaps it ought to be added to the start up instructions!!!--alternatively DJI might improve their quality control! (glad it worked out for you---really DJI you get worse!)

I am also having the same problem.  Hot camera, fan won’t start up unless I give it a push with a tooth pick.  It will work fine for 2-3 weeks and then it will happen again.  Good to know that I am not alone.

a video showing the fan not working even when the OSMO gets really hot.

you could revive the fan with a push of a tooth pick.

This is my very first post. I just got a DJI Osmo+. Searched for this issue and found this thread. I just wanted to report that the flick is still alive. It worked for me, too
