With the latest update , there is an option to change the lightbridge bitrate . When lowering the bitrate  , the distace in kilometers goes from 2 to 3 .

Haven't tried it , but i fount it in
setting
hd
custom
then transmission quality appears at the bottom. You can slide the quality from 4mbps(3km) to 6mbps(2km)

The lower the bit rate, the better the range,  because more bandwidth needs a stronger signal than less bandwidth.

absolutely correct! 4mbps for  longer range is the way to go

Select channel and Transmission quality settings are hidden in some regions according to your mobile device Language settings. When you set English (United States) the settings are visible.

I can understand they don't let you change the channel but the transmission quality, come on, this is a bit too much lol

Question: When these settings are hidden, what are the behaviours? What is the default value for transmission quality?

I think it will be more smart to hide the settings (if it is related indeed to some country regulations) according to the GPS coordinates since you can travel with your quadcopter and if you are in a country when no regulations are applied, there is no need to hide them anymore.

That's pretty poor idea to hide them according to your phone language like it does on my Android smartphone...
